A former Vice Chairman of Uvwie Local Government, Hon Napoleon Iffie, has congratulated the new Chairman of the Council, Hon Anthony Ofoni, on his success inauguration along with 24 others elected on the platform to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon Iffie, who was speaking in an interview with newsmen in Asaba, noted that Ofoni enjoyed the support of the people before and during the election, making it imperative that he should work hard to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The former Uvwie Council Vice Chairman stressed the need for team work, urging the new Chairman to carry the Councillors along to avoid any situation that could engender acrimony and Executive, Legislature face off
He commended Uvwie PDP leaders and members for working hard to deliver Ofoni and all the Councillors in the election and urged them to continue to support the new administration to succeed.
Hon Iffie called on the people of the area to rally round the Ofoni administration and support the new team with prayers, ideas and suggestions that would move Uvwie forward.
