The Director General of the Warri, Uvwie and Environs Special Area Development Agency, WUEDA, Hon. Prince Godwin Ejinyere has praised the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, and the State PDP Chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso, for their efforts at mobilizing the party for the 2024 local govt elections in the State.
Hon. Ejinyere gave the commendation when he led his political pressure group ‘Godwin Ejinyere Political Train for Sheriff Oborevwori’, to the PDP mega rally in Asaba, the Delta State Capital.
The WUEDA DG said the peace accord that was signed at the headquarters of the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC by the PDP, APC, Labour Party, other political parties and their Chairmanship candidates, showed that the PDP believed in true democracy.
He said the PDP signed the peace accord in order to guarantee an enabling environment for smooth, free, and fair local government elections, and urged all political parties to shun acts and statements that could incite violence or provoke anger before, during and after the elections.
The WUEDA DG also commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for creating a level play field for all political parties in the state to contest peacefully, as was customary with the PDP leadership of Delta State over the years.
Hon. Ejinyere, a former Chairman of Okpe Local Government ,expressed confidence that all the PDP local government chairmanship and councilorship candidates would win in the forthcoming elections, as they all had the capacity and ability to deliver on their mandates.
