The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Oshimili South Local Government Area chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, has extended warm greetings to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, on his 65th birth anniversary.

Ogbueshi Okonji, in his congratulatory message, said Okowa deserved to be celebrated for his numerous legacy projects and political sagacity.

He noted that PDP in Delta State remained strong and united under the leadership of the former Governor, adding that the party maintained a winning streak that kept the opposition at bay all through his eight years in office

Ogbueshi Okonji said Okowa’s gender friendly disposition, which encouraged women to be more involved in politics, was quite commendable, pointing out that his job and wealth creation programmes turned many young men and women to entrepreneurs and employers of labour.

The LGA PDP Chairman stated that Okowa would continue to be remembered for his peace building efforts which helped to promote harmony and cohesion among the various ethnic groups in the state.

He said the transformation of Asaba to a befitting state capital was made possible by the former Governor with the execution of landnark projects and massive development of internal roads to link virtually all the streets in the State Capital Territory.

Ogbueshi Okonji prayed God to grant Okowa good health, protection, wisdom and long life to be of greater service to the state and the nation at large
