As Deltans gear up for the celebration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s one year in office, former Nigerian professional footballer, Sam Sodje, has said the anniversary is a birthday gift for him.
The ex-center back player, whose birthday coincides with Nigeria’s democracy day, in a message on behalf of the sporting community in Delta State, congratulated the Governor on the impressive journey so far into his four-year tenure
He noted that Oborevwori’s actions and decisions in the past one year in office were suggestive of what to expect in the years ahead, and thanked the Governor for his contributions to sports development in the state.
“Your Excellency, I want to specifically thank you for the contributions that you have made which have directly affected the development of the sports sector and the welfare of sports men and women in the state.
“Please Your Excellency, continue in this light to enable our state to get the true benefits that are associated with a properly developed sports sector in the state.
