Selected youths of Ndokwa Ukwuani/Federal Constituency into fashion designing, barbing, hairdressing and tricycle operation, today commenced a two-day training programme aimed at boosting their trades and operations.
The training is at the instance of the member representing the Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi, in collaboration with Nakute Binitie Enterprises.
Declaring the training open at Kwale, headquarters of Ndokwa West local government area, Hon Ezechi said it was intended to build the capacity of the participants and expose them to modern techniques in their respective trades.
He stated that his vision was to make Ndokwa youths self reliant to be able to navigate the prevailing economic challenges in the country, pointing out that teaching them how to fish, which the training programme underscored, was a sure way of achieving that.
Hon Ezechi commended the State Governor, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for championing socioeconomic development in the state through the MORE agenda of his administration, assuring that he would continue to give his constituents effective representation in the National Assembly.
While urging the participants to take the training seriously to be able to maximally benefit from it, the Lawmaker called on those not captured in the current exercise to be patient as the programme would be sustained.
He warned the participants against selling the starter packs that would be presented to them at the end of the training, stressing that it would amount to a disservice and betrayal of trust to so do.
