The member representing Ethiope West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Blessing Achoja, has made good his campaign promise to donate his monthly salaries and allowances to his constituents.
Hon Achoja, in an interaction with newsmen, said the salaries and allowances would be going to forty personal aides of his, selected from across the Ethiope West Constituency.
The Lawmaker, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Science and Technology and Vice Chairman, Committee on DESOPADEC, said the gesture was to prove that he was not in the State Assembly for self aggrandizement, but to deliver selfless service to his people.
He stated that he was conscious of the promises he made during the electioneering campaign and would strive to faithfully keep to them in appreciation for the confidence reposed in him
Hon Achoja emphasized that good representation of the Ethiope West Constituency had just begun and would continue for as long as he would be in the House.
The Legislator appealed to his constituents to pray for and support him with ideas and suggestions that would bring about greater dividends of democracy, promising to represent the interest of all, irrespective of party affiliation.
He commended the leadership of the State Assembly for carrying every member along and pledged his loyalty and support for the House and the state government.
