Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated the Obi of Owa Kingdom, HRM Obi (Dr) Emmanuel Efeizomor II, on his 86 birth anniversary.
Governor Oborevwori in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, described the renowned monarch as one of Delta’s long standing traditional rulers with outstanding accomplishments in leadership.
He said Obi Efeizomor had, over the years, made significant contributions to the expansion and advancement of Owa kingdom and Delta state at large.
The Governor said: “Obi Efeizomor has remained a prominent figure, a respected ruler, an exemplar, and the guardian of the customs and culture of Owa people.
“Under your leadership, the Owa kingdom has seen an incredible turnaround in the areas of infrastructure and human capital development.
“You made significant contributions as the immediate past Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers. You demonstrated humility and excellence in effective exemplary leadership, and you are as well a peacemaker and role model.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta state, I congratulate His Royal Majesty, Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor, Obi of Owa Kingdom, on the occasion of his 86th birth anniversary”.
While wishing Obi Efeizomor a happy celebration, Governor Oborevwori prayed God for a longer life and wisdom for the monarch so that he could continue to serve Owa kingdom, the state and humanity at large.
