Youths of Warri, Uvwie and the environs have been charged to shun acts capable of disrupting the execution of development projects in the Oil City.

The Director General of Warri, Uvwie and Environs Special Area Development Agency, WUEDA, Prince Godwin Ejinyere, who gave the charge while playing host to Okpe PDP ward 9 youths in his office, urged them to maintain peace in the interest of development.

Prince Ejinyere appreciated the youths for their visit, as they were the first political sub-group to visit him from Okpe LGA since assuming office as DG of WUEDA.

The one-time Chairman of Okpe Local Government told the PDP youths that WUEDA was saddled with the responsibility of transforming Warri, Uvwie and the environs in line with the MORE agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and enjoined them to support him to succeed.

The Okpe Prince said the only way to reciprocate the Governor’s frantic efforts to restore the lost glory of the Oil City and its environs was for all to maintain peace at all times so that everyone could benefit, emphasizing that peace and security were necessary for sustainable development of the metropolis.

He commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for awarding flyover contracts at very critical parts of the metropolis, as well as road and storm water drainage projects to give the Oil City the desired facelift.

Earlier, the leader of the PDP youths, Comrade Augustine Idolor, told the WUEDA DG that they were in his office on a familiarization visit.

He extolled the sterling qualities of Okakuro Godwin Ejinyere as the Duke of Orerokpe district, and also for his good works in Okpe PDP ward 9.

The youths then encouraged the WUEDA DG to sustain the zeal with which he started work at the Agency a few months ago, describing him as their role model.

Some officials of the Agency and professional aides of the DG were present during the courtesy visit.
