The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Delta state branch, Chief Francis Arhiyor, has given the judiciary a pat on the back for the historic judgement of the Supreme Court in the Appeals of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Chief Kenneth Gbagi and Mr Ken Pela, against the election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Chief Arhiyor, while reacting to the judgement, said it could not have been otherwise because Oborevwori’s victory in the March 18 Governorship election was beyond doubts.
He maintained that it was a waste of time and resources for Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Chief Kenneth Gbagi and Mr Ken Pela to have challenged the outcome of the election, which was a clear mandate willingly given.
The State NURTW helmsman congratulated the Governor on the smooth sail through the judicial process, from the start to finish, and urged him to focus on meeting the high expectations of Deltans.
Chief Arhiyor appealed to the aggrieved opponents to bury the hatchets and place the interest of the state above personal gains by joining hands with the Governor to actualize his vision of advancing the state with his MORE agenda.
