A PDP chieftain in the state and leader of ward 5 in Oshimili South local government area, Hon Taju Isichei, popularly called IKUKU, has called on the people of the ward, Oshimili South and Deltans in general to look forward to a more prosperous year.

Hon Isichei, an Executive Assistant to the Governor on Community Development, while speaking on the thick and thin of the year 2023, said the greatest thing that happened to anyone celebrating the new year was the ability to survive the outgone year.

He noted that 2023 was an election year which produced the present crop of leaders at the federal and state levels, pointing out that the seamless transition of power was worthy of celebration.

The Governor’s aide said though Nigerians experienced very difficult and trying times occasioned by anti-people oriented economic policies, especially the removal of fuel subsidy by the Tinubu administration, the grace of God was sufficient for the people to weather the storm.

He expressed the hope that God would continue to bless, protect and provide for His children and admonished Deltans to remain peaceful, united and enterprising in the face of the present day realities.

Hon Isichei particularly urged the people of ward 5, in Oshimili South LGA, to love one another, speak in one voice and support their leaders and the Oborevwori administration to succeed.

The political tactician placed on record the great impacts of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, member representing Oshimili South in the State Assembly, Hon Bridget Anyafulu, Delta North PDP Chairman, Elder Moses Iduh, Oshimili South PDP Chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, Chief Edwin Uzor and the Chairman, Oshimili South LG Council, Dr Kelvin Ezenyili, in 2023 and prayed God to grant them the capacity to do more in the new year
