Delta State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Hon. Samuel Oligida, has called on the people of Orere community, in Warri South local government area, to remain unwavering in their support for the Oborevwori administration.
Oligida made the call while addressing a large crowd of supporters at the annual Orere festival, which coincided with the festive period.
He said Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had made good his promise to have a blend of the young and old in his cabinet, pointing out that he was a beneficiary of that promise, and his appointment a mark of recognition and honour to the Orere community.
The Commissioner thanked Warri South West PDP leaders, including Hon Daniel Mayuku and Hon Godwin Ebosa, elders and faithful of the party for their roles in his appointment and assured them that he would live up to expectations as a member of the State Executive Council.
He urged the youths of Orere community, ward 8 and the LGA in general, to remain peaceful and law abiding, saying that they should believe in themselves, be resourceful and grab every opportunity for the enhancement of their potentials.
In their separate remarks, Hon Ebosa and the Commissioner for Water Resources Development, Hon Isaac Wilkie, canvassed continued support for the Oborevwori administration and PDP.
They said Orere community was blessed to have produced Oligida as a Commissioner and the first from the ward and urged the people to support and pray for him to succeed.
