The member representing Isoko South Constituency 2 in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Ferguson Onwo, has felicitated Ace Journalist, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, on his appointment as Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Comrade Ofrokor Pedro, the Lawmaker expressed joy over the appointment of Mr Nkem Nwaeke, who until last Tuesday was the Assembly Correspondent, Delta Broadcasting Service, DBS, Warri.
Hon Onwo who is the immediate past Majority Leader and Chairman, House Committee on Information, explained that over the years, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke had worked with the State House of Assembly without blemish.
The Isoko South 2 representative described the new CPS as a diligent, efficient and very reliable person, stressing that his amicable disposition endeared him to every member of the Delta State Legislature.
“Nkem Nwaeke is a friend to most of us. Very hardworking, very result oriented. Give him assignments to handle for you and go to sleep. He will do it even better than you expected.
“I am so happy with his appointment. I also believe that the excitements on the faces of colleagues when Mr Speaker announced the appointment on Tuesday during plenary session of the House, showed that they are also happy with it.
“I am optimistic that this appointment will no doubt propel him for greater opportunities. Nkem have over the years demonstrated exceptional dedication, commitment and professionalism. We will support him to achieve more.
