Saturday, 2nd December, 2023, was a day of joy, excitement, and praises to God for widows at Abavo, in Ika South local government area, as they trooped out in their numbers to welcome the Founder and General Overseer of the Divine Faith Evangelical Mission International, Agbor, Prophet Joseph Igbodo, who visited them with food items and inspiring word of God.

The over 400 widows from the community and its environs, who gathered at their Care Centre, along Hospital road, Ekwueze, Abavo, which was built by Prophet Igbodo to serve as their meeting point, had a feel of the generosity of the renowned preacher and philanthropist.

They demonstrated their gratitude to God with traditional gospel songs and Ika cultural dance, with a message of hope and salvation from the Man of God coming in between.

Prophet Igbodo, who is also the proprietors of Job’s Orphanage and St. Stephen’s Trust Widows Home, also in Agbor, assured the widows of constant God’s providence, blessings, protection, care, love, good fortune, good health, and peaceful living.

He noted that the Christmas’ season had come, declaring that Jesus remained the reason for the season, even as he tasked them to embrace Jesus and His tenets of love and kindness to humanity, stressing that by so doing abundant blessings would come their ways.

According to him, “When you have Jesus, you have everything. We have come to meet God here. Our coming is not a mistake. This is the best thing to do. Outside God, no human can do good or treat you well.

“We are here to pray. When you are with God, nothing can hinder your progress and that of your children. Unless Jesus sets you free, you can’t give yourself a total freedom. Prayer works. We are here for God to change our situation. Life is a serious matter. We don’t need to live carelessly.

“This forum is for God. There is no how you follow God without being prosperous. Prosperity can only come to you through service to God and humanity. This is what we have come to teach you. Through prayer, you can harness your God-given talents. Prayer and work are key to prosperity”.

The gathering later went into a prayer session led by Rev. Sunday Ugbaje, after which food items and toiletries were distributed to the widows, who in their separate remarks thanked Prophet Igbodo for his kindness and prayed God to continually bless the works of his hands and grow his Ministry beyond imagination.

Individuals and organisations who may want to identify with Prophet Igbodo and his works of charity have been requested to call 08037452147 for inquiries.
