The Chief of Staff to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon Prince Johnson Erijo, has given the Court of Appeal a pat on the back for dismissing the petitions filed against the ruling of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which earlier upheld the election of his boss.
Hon Erijo, while reacting to Friday’s landmark judgement of the Appellate Court, congratulated the Governor on the resounding legal victory, which was in furtherance of the will of the people of the state.
The Chief of Staff said the judgement was more of a morale booster, which he assured would not be taken for granted by the Governor, in driving the well articulated policies and programmes of his administration.
He noted that so far the Oborevwori administration had left no one in doubt as to its genuine disposition to inclusivity, transparency, accountability, equity and fairness to all sections of the state, stressing that the Governor needed the support and prayers of Deltans to succeed.
Hon Erijo urged the APC governorship candidate in the March 18 election, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and others challenging the victory of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the election, to cease further litigations and join hands with him to move the state forward.
