A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Hon Ekengbuda Toju Robinson, has felicitated the State Governor, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, on his triple victory over Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the APC, Chief Kenneth Gbagi of SDP and Ken Pela of the Labour Party, at the Court of Appeal.

Hon Ekengbuda, who is the Special Assistant to the State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Mr Samuel Oligida, said the victory did not come as a surprise because Oborevwori had a divine anointing to govern the state at this time in history and anymore seeking to unseat him was only challenging the will of God.

He said Deltans had also loudly spoken with their votes for the Governor in the March 18 election, stressing that “the voice of the people is the voice of God”, which Omo-Agege and others challenging the Governor’s election failed to accept.

Hon Ekengbuda commended the judiciary, especially the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal for their rulings which reflected the will of God and the greater majority of Deltans, saying that the confidence of the people in the judiciary had significantly increased with the landmark judgements.

The SA said Governor Oborevwori had so far demonstrated that he had no time to  waste in his quest  to take the state to enviable heights and needed all the support, even from the opposition, to achieve set goals.

He, therefore, urged Omo-Agege, Kenneth Gbagi and Ken Pela to stop further litigations, which he described as a waste of time and resources, and join hands with Governor Oborevwori to improve the lot of Deltans.
