A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oshimili South local government area and leader of ward 5, Umuaji village, Asaba, Hon Taju Isichei, popularly called IKUKU, on Sunday led members of his family, friends and political associates to appreciate God for his appointment as Executive Assistant to the Governor on Community Development.
Hon Isichei, who was Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Political Matters, dedicated his appointment to God and the entire people of Oshimili South, saying that it could have been someone else.
He thanked the State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for the opportunity given to him to serve, describing the offer as a mark of recognition which would not be taken for granted.
The EA also thanked the Oshimili South party leader, Chief Edwin Uzor; the member representing Oshimili South in the State Assembly, Hon Bridget Anyafulu; LGA PDP Chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji and ward 5 Chairman, Ogbueshi Chinedu Nwokolo for the interest shown in his appointment.
He also appreciated the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, Delta North PDP Chairman, Elder Moses Iduh, former member House of Representatives, Hon Ndudi Elumelu and all others whose support and prayers earned him the appointment.
Hon Isichei promised to give his best in the service of the state, especially the implementation of the M.O.R.E agenda of the Governor, adding that he would remain a good ambassador of Oshimili South
