A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta state, Hon Peter Isioma Okolie, has felicitated Governor Sheriff Oborevweri on his resounding victory at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

Hon Okolie, a Justice of the Peace (JP) and former Senior Investment Analyst in the immediate past Okowa administration, in a message made available to newsmen, described the triple victory over Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Chief Kenneth Gbagi and Mr Ken Pela as a great feat and an affirmation of the mandate given to the Governor by Deltans.

The one-time Supervisory Councillor and former Chairman, Delta State National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) Forum expressed delight that the detractors had been humbled by the Tribunal, saying that their attempt to unseat Oborevweri was a mission impossible.

Hon Okolie, who is the current Executive Secretary, Delta Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (DACCIMA), commended the Tribunal for upholding the will of God made manifest in the landslide electoral victory of the Governor in the March 18 Governorship election in the state and advised Omo-Agege, Gbagi and Pela to swallow their pride and join the Governor to build a more prosperous Delta.

The PDP chieftain also congratulated the Governor and people of the state on Nigeria’s 63rd Independence anniversary, which he said was a reminder that Nigerians needed to do more to remain united and progressive in view of the present state of the nation.

He expressed confidence that with God on the side of Nigerians things would get better and urged the citizens not to despair but instead individually and collectively exhibit positive values and speak the truth to power so that the leaders could act right and fix the problems plaguing the country.

Hon Okolie commended the Oborevwori administration for the impressive steps it had taken so far in advancing Delta in line with the MORE agenda.
