The Member, House of Representatives for the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi, has described the triple victory of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori at the Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Asaba as a good omen for the state.
Hon Ezechi, while reacting to the Tribunal’s judgements in the petitions filed by APC, Labour Party and SDP challenging the election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the 2023 election, said his victory at the polls was too overwhelming for any one to challenge.
The Lawmaker thanked the Tribunal for upholding Oborevwori’s election, saying it was an affirmation of the mandate freely given to the Governor by Deltans.
He said the petitions were unnecessary distractions intended to set the state back, and expressed delight that the Governor would now be able to focus on the implementation of his policies and programmes of his administration.
Hon Ezechi congratulated the Governor on the legal victory and urged Senator Omo-Agege, Mr Ken Pella and Chief Kenneth Gbagi to sheathe the swords and join hands with him to take Delta state to greater heights.
