The leader of the ward and immediate past Executive Assistant to former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Political Matters, Hon Taju Isichei, also known as Ikuku, made the call at an enlarged monthly meeting of the ward.
He said disrespect to party leaders was one sure way of promoting arrogance and indiscipline in the party, adding that party leaders also needed to be celebrated for their sacrifices and selfless service to keep the party going.
The former Special Adviser to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on Inter Party Relations appreciated the Governor and leader of the party in the state, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the State Chairman of the party, Barr Kingsley Esiso, the Delta North Senatorial District Chairman, Elder Moses Iduh, the Oshimili South LGA Chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, the LGA leader, Chief Edwin Uzor, as well as former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, for their contributions to the growth of the party at different levels.

The ward leader assured party faithful of transparency and reward for hard work, going forward, in running the affairs of the ward, promising that every member would be carried along in the scheme of things.
He commended the leadership of the ward for its determination to strengthen the party and instill discipline in members and pledged to support the ward whenever the need arose.

Also speaking, the ward Chairman, Ogbueshi Chinedu Nwokolo, said the meeting was convened to formally thank members for their roles in the last general election and to encourage them to continue to work for the party to guarantee improved performance in future elections.
Ogbueshi Nwokolo dwelt on the need for party discipline, pointing out that some members of the ward were not respectful and loyal to constituted authorities, which he vowed would not be condoned.
