The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has felicitated the Asagba of Asaba, Obi (Prof) Chike Edozien, on his 99th birth anniversary.
Guwor, in a message, expressed gratitude to God for His love and kindness upon Asagba Chike Edozien, whom he described as a renowned personality gifted with longevity, intelligence and wisdom.
The Speaker noted, with delight, the sterling qualities of the Asagba, stressing that his kingdom which incidentally is the seat of power in Delta State, had been very peaceful and supportive under his reign.
He commended the Asaba king for his support for successive governments of the state, including the Delta State Assembly.
While praying for more of God’s blessings upon the Royal Father, Guwor said he expected such positive support of the Asagba for Governor Sheriff Oborevrwori as he advanced the state to the next level of development with his MORE agenda.
“It is with great joy that I join millions of well wishers all over the globe to celebrate a distinguished personality, prominent traditional ruler and an epitome of wisdom and humility, Obi (Prof) Chike Edozien, Asagba of Asaba as he marks his 99th year on planet earth.
“Under his reign Asaba has witnessed great strides in terms of peace, unity and progress. This is as a result of his support for successive governments in the state. I congratulate him as he turns 99 and wish him more years in sound health and prosperity”, Guwor stated.
The Speaker, also on behalf of his family and members of the State Assembly, rejoiced with the people of Asaba over the 99th birth anniversary of their versatile and highly recerred King, and enjoined them to remain at peace with one another, including visitors to the capital city.
