The Chairman, Oshimili South LGA chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, has described the victory of Hon Ndudi Elumelu over Hon Ngozi Okolie of the Labour Party at the Election Petitions Tribunal as a confirmation that PDP remains a party to beat in the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.
Ogbueshi Okonji, in a congratulatory message to Elumelu, said Oshimili South had been a stronghold of PDP over time, pointing out that what happened in the February 25 election was an attempt to hijack the Federal Constituency and set it back to retrogression
He said Elumelu’s creditable performance in the National Assembly, which had impacted positively on the people of Aniocha/Oshimili, was so obvious for anyone to defeat him effortlessly and congratulated the people of Aniocha/Oshimili for having their mandate freely given to him restored by the Tribunal.
The LGA PDP Chairman commended the Tribunal for upholding justice and the rule of law in the petition brought before it by the PDP chieftain, saying that it reaffirmed that the law remained an ass.
Ogbueshi Okonji called on Ngozi Okolie to cease further litigations and join hands with Elumelu to better the lot of the people of Aniocha/Oshimili.
