Deltans have been urged to allow the State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to settle down to quicken the governance process.
The Director General, 2023 Delta PDP Governorship Campaign Council, Rt. Hon (Chief) Funkekeme Solomon, made the call while reacting to insinuations of issues with the choice of cabinet members.
Rt. Hon Funkekeme noted that during the electioneering campaign across the state, Oborevwori made promises to Deltans based on which he was elected, stressing that having been given the mandate, the Governor needed to start well to be able to meet the expectations of the people.
He cautioned those wanting to score cheap political points by insinuating that there were issues between the Governor and his predecessor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, over the choice of cabinet members, to desist from such acts, and allow the required peaceful atmosphere for the Governor to settle down as quickly as possible and prosecute is M.O.R.E agenda.
The ex-Campaign Council DG acknowledged the roles played by various support groups and critical stakeholders in the electoral victory of the PDP in the state, and expressed optimism that the reward system in the state would be fair to all sections of the state, as clearly assured by His Excellency, the Governor.
Rt. Hon Funkekeme appealed to Deltans and other residents of the state to remain prayerful and supportive of the Oborevwori administration, assuring that the PDP government headed by him (Oborevwori) would work hard to meet the expectations of the people.
