The 8th Assembly of the Delta State House of Assembly held its maiden plenary on Tuesday, with the member representing the Ukwuani Constituency, Hon (Ogbuefi) Chukwudi Dafe, promising to make a difference in the representation of the Constituency.
Hon Chukwudi Dafe, a grassroots politician and immediate past Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Council, told newsmen at the end of plenary that he was in the Assembly for serious business and would stop at nothing to make life more meaningful to his constituents through legislative actions.
Hon Dafe, also known as Agbalala, said he would collaborate with the relevant security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property of his constituents, stressing that every indigene and resident of Ukwuani Local Government Area would directly or indirectly feel the impact of his representation.
He said having attended two retreats to properly position the Assembly members, especially the first timers, for the task ahead, he was good to go with what he was elected to do and would not have any problem getting use to the rules and business of the House.
The Lawmaker pledged loyalty to the leadership of the House and appealed to his constituents to support him with prayers, lofty ideas, suggestions and constructive criticism that would enhance his performance in the State Assembly.
