EGBUDU-AKAH COMMUNITY CONGRATULATES OBOREVWORI, ONYEME ON SUCCESSFUL INAUGURATION

The people of Egbudu-Akah community, in Aniocha South Local Government Area, has congratulated the new Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, on their successful assumption of duty in Government House, Asaba.

In a communique issued at the end of a joint meeting of the Obi-in-council, the Heads (Okparas) of the three quarters in Egbudu-Akah and some members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Egbudu-Akah Development Union (EDU), the community pledged support for the new administration in the state.

While appealing to the community to always be law abiding, a prominent chie and political leader, Chief Anthony Egbune, who is the Ogiame 1 of Egbudu-Akah, said the Oborevwori administration marked the beginning of a new dawn for Delta State, describing the Governor as a thorough bred politician with a good understanding of the challenges of the state. 

While reminding his people of the campaign promises of the member representing Aniocha South in the State Assembly, Hon Isaac Anwuzia, to the community, Chief Egbune assured that PDP leaders in Egbudu-Akah would reach out to all elected representatives to ensure that the Egbudu-Akah/Ekuku-Agbor/Ogwashi-Uku road was brought to the attention of the Governor.

The President General of Egbudu-Akah Development Union, Pastor Godwin Elue, while thanking the Obi in-council and the elders for the prevailing peace in the community said the successful swearing-in of  Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and Sir Monday Onyeme, as Governor and Deputy Governor of Delta State, signalled a renewed hope for Egbudu-Akah people. 

The community used the medium to congratulate the member representing Aniocha South in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Isaac Anwuzia, the Aniocha/Oshimili House of Reps Member, Rt. Hon Ngozi Okolie and Senator Ned Nwoko on their successful inauguration and pledged to support them to succeed.
