The people of Oshimili North local government area have been urged to be supportive of the Oborevwori administration in anticipation of enhanced socioeconomic development of the area.

The Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Council, Hon Innocent Esewezie, made the call today while inspecting ongoing market projects at Illah and Ugbolu communities.

Hon Esewezie said the market projects were meant to provide decent spaces for the traders to do business and improve their economic well-being.

He stated that the Ugbolu and Illah communities were on a strategic road and needed to have good markets, which would also serve as veritable sources of revenue to the Council, pointing out that the Illah market, being solely funded by the local government, would contain one hundred open and twenty lock-up shops, while the one in Ugbolu was on a Public/Private Partnership arrangement.

The Council Chairman, who also inspected the site of the proposed Primary Health Centre at Achala Ibusa, assured the people of the area of the determination of his administration to make life more meaningful to them and solicited their continued support and prayers.

He commended the State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for providing a template to guide the Councils in addressing the pressing needs of the people, stressing that the M.O.R.E agenda of the present administration was all encompassing and far reaching for any local government to impact on the lives of the people.

Hon Esewezie was accompanied on the inspection by the Secretary to the Local Government, SLG, Mr Austin Ajufo and the Head of Personnel Management of the Council, Mrs Stella Jones-Ofunne.
