The immediate past Governor of Delta state, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa has officially handed over the reigns of power to his successor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
In a brief handover ceremony which took place about 4pm on Monday at the Governor’s office at Government House, Asaba, Okowa prayed for the new Governor before the official handover, saying that he was confident that Oborevwori would deliver on his M.O.R.E Agenda for the people of the state.
The official handover ceremony featured signing of relevant handover documents and the official presentation to Oborevwori by Dr Okowa.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by the State Head of Service, Mr Reginald Bayoko; Permanent Secretary, Government House, Sir Eddy Ogidi-Gbegbaje, among others.
