Member-elect of the Delta State House of Assembly for the Ethiope West constituency, Blessing Achoja, has pledged to redefine the representation of the constituency in the State Assembly.
Achoja, after receiving his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Asaba on Wednesday, said he was good to go having had his election authenticated with the issuance of the Certificate.
He said though in the opposition, his victory was for all people of Ethiope West, adding that he would make the desired impact by ensuring that his voice, which represented the voices of his constituents, was not suppressed by members in the majority, in line with the dictum that the majority would always have their way, but the minority would have their say.
The State Assembly member-elect thanked the people of Ethiope West for voting their collective conscience, having realized that politics was no longer business as usual.
Achoja promised to carry all interests in the constituency along in the scheme of things, assuring that he would be humble, dedicated and God fearing in the discharge of his legislative duties, as well as consult widely with the people on issues affecting the constituency.
He solicited the cooperation and support of all to enable him to succeed.
