The Delta State House of Assembly member-elect for the Isoko North constituency, Barr Bernard Odion, has received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Odion, a former Legal Adviser of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was among the 29 newly elected members of the State Assembly who were presented with their Certificates of Return on Wednesday in Asaba to authenticate their victory in the March 18 House of Assembly election.

In an interview shortly after receiving the Certificate, the Legislator-elect said it was an evidence that he won the election, awaiting swearing-in, after which he would properly key into the MORE Agenda of the incoming Oborevwori administration.

He said the journey to actualizing his ambition to represent the people of Isoko North in the State Assembly was not an easy one, but thanked political leaders, including Elder Emma Ogidi, Hon Leo Ogor, Sir Patrick Ferife, Dr Patrick Okporuno, among others, as well as the entire people of Isoko North for making it possible.

Odion pledged to work harmoniously with the Governor-elect, when inaugurated, to attract development to his constituency through effective representation and urged his people to be patient as the incoming administration would positively affect them.

In their separate remarks while speaking to newsmen, Elder Emma Ogidi, Sir Patrick Ferife, Mrs Evelyn Anuta and Jonathan Umukoro, thanked God for seeing Odion through the election against all odds.

They described the State Assembly member-elect as a grassroots politician deeply abreast of the needs of Isoko North people and expressed optimism that he would give the constituency effective representation after his inauguration.
