The member-elect representing the Oshimili North constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Barr Frank Esenwa, has been issued his Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, with a promise to hit the ground running as soon as he is inaugurated.
Esenwa, who made the promise in an interview with journalists after receiving the Certificate of Return, said it felt really great to be counted among the elected members of the State Assembly, after narrowly losing the 2018 party primary to the incumbent member representing the constituency.
While ascribing his victory in the election to God, the Legislator-elect thanked party leaders in Oshimili North for their support and the electorate for believing in him and giving him the mandate.
Esenwa said though he would not be in a position to award contracts, he would ensure that the budgetary process favoured the constituency such that developmental projects could be executed to make life more meaningful to his people.
He solicited the cooperation and support of the people in giving the constituency a better representation, stressing that collective responsibility was key to moving the area forward.
