DELTA GOVERNOR-ELECT, DEPUTY ISSUED INEC’S CERTIFICATES OF RETURN

Delta State Government has concluded plans to constitute a transition committee to midwife the inauguration on the next Governor of the state on May 29.

The State Governor-elect, Rt. Hon  Sheriff Oborevwori, who disclosed this after receiving his Certificate of Return, alongside his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, at the INEC headquarters in Asaba, implored all Deltans and residents to remain prayerful, peaceful, and law abiding ahead of his inauguration.

Oborevwori, who is the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, said with the issuance of the Certificate of Return, it was now time to turn attention to ensuring a seamless and stable transition in pursuance of the Advancing Delta agenda. 

He stated that his M.O.R.E agenda would focus on all round development of the state, saying that with God and support of the people, much more would be achieved by the incoming administration.                  

The Governor-elect acknowledged the massive support he received all through the processes preceding the election and thanked all those who worked tirelessly to bring victory to the PDP, saying that in the final analysis, the glory was ascribable to God to whom all power belonged.       

The Member elect, Bomadi constituency and Deputy Majority Leader, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Oboro Preyor, who responded on behalf of the twenty nine elected members of the state Legislature, expressed gratitude to the electorate for retuning them to serve the people.

Hon Preyor assured that the entire constituents would be well represented.                   

The ceremony was witnessed by officials of INEC, security agencies, representatives of political parties and the media.
