The apex body of all recognized traditional rulers in the Anioma nation, the Delta North Traditional Rulers Forum, has congratulated the State Governor-elect, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, on their victory in the March 18 Governorship election.
The Forum, in a statement by its Vice Chairman and Obi of Abavo kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Uche Irenuma 11 and the Secretary and Obi of Atuma, Daniel Chukwuka Ogbudo, joined the people of Deltan North from all walks of life in rejoicing with Oborevwori and his Deputy, Monday Onyeme, over their well deserved victory, which the monarchs described as an act of God.
The Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Chike Edozien-led group acknowledged the impressive track record, unwavering commitment to public service, and inspiring vision for the future, which had earned the Governor-elect the trust and confidence of the people of Delta State.
The traditional rulers noted that Oborevwori’s dedication to upholding the principles of democracy and his tireless efforts to promote the common good were truly admirable, and expressed the certainty that he would serve the state with distinction and honour.
“As you prepare to assume this important role, we wish you all the best in your endeavours. We have no doubt that your leadership will bring about positive changes and lasting benefits to our state, and we look forward to working with you in achieving our shared goals.
