The Aneke Ifemeni Foundation (AIF) has congratulated the Governor-elect of Delta state, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, on their joint ticket victory in the March 18 governorship election.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Foundation and pioneer Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Aneke Ifemeni, in a message to the duo, noted that their governorship ambition faced initial challenges but could not be stopped because it was divinely rooted.
Hon Ifemeni said as a former Legislator, he could confidently say that Deltans were in for a better deal with Oborevwori as Governor-elect, the Speaker having presided over the affairs of the State Assembly for six consecutive years without issues with the Honourable members and staff of the Assembly.
He stated that Oborevwori made the right choice of his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, a chartered Accountant, renowned Financial expert, business mogul and philanthropist, describing him as a good ambassador of the Ndokwa nation, who would undoubtedly work assiduously with his Principal to deliver good governance to the people of the state.
Hon Ifemeni urged Oborevwori and Onyeme to strive to justify the confidence reposed in them by the people, stressing that they should hit the ground running when inaugurated to be able to sustain and even surpass the tempo of development to the credit of the Okowa administration.
The former Lawmaker called on Deltans to go beyond electing the incoming Governor and Deputy to supporting them with prayers, ideas and suggestions that would enable them to succeed.
