The Chairman of the Oshimili South LGA chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, has felicitated the Governor-elect of Delta state, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, on their joint ticket victory in the just concluded Gubernatorial election.

Hon Okonji, while rejoicing with the Governor-elect, said his electoral victory was deserving considering his sterling qualities, adding that his accessibility and street value endeared him to the people.

The LGA PDP Chairman recalled the outcome of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state, which caused tension in the party, but noted that the grace that had come to be a part of Oborevwori put those who would have scuttled his ambition to sleep and gave him victory.

He thanked God for making Oborevwori’s victory possible and Deltans for insisting on taking ownership of their state, which helped to neutralize the ‘virus’ that wanted to infect and make nonsense of the ruling PDP.

Hon Okonji particularly thanked the State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, for leading the crusade to rejuvenate the party to be able to massively mobilize Deltans and other residents of the state to vote for PDP in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections.

He assured Deltans, especially the people of Oshimili South, that the incoming administration would be focused, transparent, fair and equitable to all, urging the people to be prepared to support the state government beyond May 29, 2023, so that more development could be achieved in all sectors.
