Delta North senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for next year’s election and renowned Maritime and Commercial Lawyer, Hon (Prince) Ned Nwoko, has insisted that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, should be shown the way out of the party.
Speaking to newsmen in his Idumuje-Ugboko villa, in Aniocha North local government area of Delta state, the former member of the House of Representatives said Wike had done a lot of damage to PDP and had no justification to be allowed to remain in the party.
He stated that he did not see why some persons believed that there was something special about the Rivers Governor that would count against the PDP without him and his G5 counterparts supporting the party, expressing confidence that Atiku would win the Presidential election with or without Wike.
The Delta North hopeful for the Senate noted that Atiku and the leadership of the PDP had made frantic efforts to reconcile with Wike to no avail, stressing that the G5 Governors’ insistence that the resignation of Ayu as National Chairman of the party was the only condition that would make them support Atiku was unrealistic at this time.
Prince Nwoko said he was sure Atiku would win overwhelmingly in the North, South South and South East, as well as in at least two states in the South West, and urged PDP faithful in Rivers, Benue, Oyo, Enugu and Abia states not to be deterred in their support for Atiku.
