The Idumuje-Ugboko country home of a former representative of the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the National Assembly and Delta North PDP senatorial candidate for the 2023 elections, Rt. Hon (Prince) Ned Nwoko, on Wednesday played host to a large gathering of guests from across the state, who came to celebrate the billionaire politician, business mogul and large hearted philanthropist at 62.

Ned came back from the PDP campaigns in Patani and Ozoro to meet his massive compound set for a birthday party arranged by his wife, Regina, and brother, Dr Michael Nwoko, without his knowledge.

When asked to speak on the occasion, the celebrant said the package was a big surprise to him because he was not used to celebrations and particularly had never celebrated his birth anniversary, as he did not consider it necessary to celebrate anything.
He said the greatest celebration known to him was that of life, which was a daily affair every morning one woke up from sleep in good health, pointing out that he was brought up to appreciate the great importance of the gift of life, which could only come from God.

Ned eulogized his wife, Regina, for being dutiful always in the home front, wondering how she mustered the strength to do all that she had been doing.
The Delta North senatorial candidate announced that his subsequent birth anniversaries would be marked with visits to orphanages, where many orphans and motherless babies were in dire need of help, as the money spent in organizing birthday parties could go a long way in adding value to the lives of the less privileged.

He thanked Anioma traditional rulers, Nollywood delegation led by a Veteran Actor, Alex Osifo; political associates, women, youths and children who turned out to celebrate him at 62, assuring them that their lives would not remain the same beyond 2023 if given the mandate to represent Delta North in the Senate.

Earlier, the wife of the celebrant and popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, said she thought it duty bound to celebrate her husband’s new age because he had stood himself out as a rare gem, an iconic and large hearted gentleman, adding that she was lucky and proud to have him as husband.

Others speakers, including Dr Michael Nwoko; a former Chairman of Aniocha North local government, Hon S.P.C Aniamaka; the Obi of Ashama, Solomon Ezechinyelugo 11, paid tributes to Prince Ned Nwoko, describing him as kind hearted and generous to a fault.

They said Ned had touched many lives and still counting, appealing to the people of Delta North to vote massively for him in next year’s election to enable him do more.
The highlight of the event was the cutting of the birthday cake by Ned and his wife, Regina; traditional rulers, Nollywood Actors and Actresses, as well as other dignitaries and groups present.
