Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Health Monitoring, Dr. Michael Nwoko, has bagged the TopFlyers Magazine Most Effective Government Appointee Of The Year 2022, Award.
The prestigious award was presented to the Governor’s aide at the Sheraton hotel, Abuja, in appreciation for the hard work, commitment and successes he had to his credit in his medical profession.
The Project Manager of the media outfit, Collins Peters, who made the presentation, particularly cited Dr Michael Nwoko’s dogged fight against COVID-19, which helped to curb the spread of the pandemic in Delta state.
While saying that the nomination of the awardee followed a long and painstaking evaluation of functionaries who had contributed to the success of the SMART agenda of the Okowa administration, the Topflyers Magazine helmsman noted that as Coordinator of the Delta State Health Monitoring Team, Dr Michael Nwoko had ensured operational standards in health facilities under his watch.
He said in the eye of the public, the magazine had always been rated high for its due diligence on integrity search, which produced the award on Dr Michael Nwoko based on meritocracy.
Collins Peters congratulated the awardee and urged him to remain a good ambassador of the medical profession and the Delta State Government.
In his remarks after receiving the award, Dr Michael Nwoko thanked Topflyers Magazine for the honour done him, saying he never knew that his modest contributions to his profession and governance of Delta state were being noted by a reputable media organisation, even from outside the state.
He thanked the State Governor and Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, for the opportunity given him to serve, which made it possible for him to be discovered for the award.
