The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has donated 14 brand new motorcycles to the vigilante groups operating in Aniocha South.
Presenting the motorcycles to representatives of the vigilante groups at the Council Secretariat in Ogwashi-Uku, Pastor Chukwunwike said he was an advocate of community policing.
He thanked the vigilantes for their dedication to security of lives and property, directing that the motorcycles should be used for comprehensive policing of every community in the local government area and not for commercial purposes or politicking.
“I appreciate the work of the vigilante groups in Aniocha South. These motorcycles are to help you better carry out their responsibilities. There are places that cars can’t get to, but with these motorcycles you can reach such places for surveillance and crime control.
“Please continue to work in synergy with the police and other security agencies. Do your best and God will surely bless you”, Chukwunwike said.
