Delta State Commissioner for Water Resources Development, Hon. Samuel Marierie, has commended the Chairman of Aniocha South local government, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, for his administration’s positive impact on the lives of the people.
Hon Mariere, who gave the commendation at the commissioning of the Council’s water scheme at Ubulu-Uku, described Chukwunwike as a good man whose administration was practically committed to enhancing the well-being of the people.

The Commissioner said it was heartwarming to note that the Aniocha South Council Chairman could executive meaningful projects at a time most of the local governments were battling zero allocation, stressing that he had endeared himself to the people through his well articulated policies and programmes.
In his remarks, Pastor Chukwunwike thanked God for using Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to create the opportunity for him to serve his people in a higher capacity, having been a member of staff of the Council in the past.

He said with the support of the state government his administration would deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Aniocha South.
“I wish to use this medium to appreciate His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, Governor of Delta State, for his monumental achievements across the State”, the Council boss said.
Chukwunwike listed some of the projects executed under his watch to include an ultra modern borehole at Ubulu-Uku, the Aniocha South Local Government chapel, an Abattoir at the Ogwashi-Uku market, a Council City Gate, among others.

Amidst thunderous ovation by excited residents of the community who came out in their large numbers to appreciate him, Chukwunwike said the visible positive changes in the LGA were signs of God’s divine handiwork and thanked the people for their support and peaceful disposition.
“We will continue to do our best in keeping with every promise we made and by the special grace of God, more projects which we have started will be launched”, he said.
