The Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the 2023 general election, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi, has described the just concluded ward to ward campaign in Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West and Ukwuani LGAs as a huge successful.

In his message of appreciation, Hon Ezechi said the campaign was also significant in many ways and further reaffirmed the fact that PDP remained a large and indivisible family where the importance of interest in politics was a guiding principle.

The House of Representatives candidate noted that the various wards recorded large turn out of party faithful due to the burning desire and irrepressible enthusiasm to show the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its bad leadership the way out and enthrone the PDP for the restoration of hope to the citizenry.

He stated that the believe that some members of the party were still aggrieved over the outcome of the party primaries appeared to be erroneous as everyone closed ranks during the campaign for the common goal of ensuring overwhelming victory for the party in next year’s election.

Hon Ezechi said even the opposition was unsettled by the large crowds at the campaign venues, forcing some in other political parties to dump such parties for the PDP, having been convinced that the time spent in the opposition was wasted.

The House of Representatives hopeful, also known as ‘Full Option’, said the ward to ward campaign movement not only brought the PDP candidates closer to the electorate, but also gave the candidates an insight to the needs and expectations of the people, to enable them draw up action plans for solutions to the identified challenges if elected.

He particularly thanked the leader of the party in the state, who is also the State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, for not only giving the party a clear direction and purposefully leadership, but also making the campaign easy for the candidates through the enviable track record of performance of his administration.

Hon Ezechi also thanked the PDP delegates who voted him to fly the party’s flag in the primary election at Utagba-Uno on the 22nd May 2022 saying that without them he would not be campaigning as a House of Representatives candidate of the party.

The House of Reps candidate appreciated the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ochor Christopher Ochor; the state leadership of the party, especially the State Chairman, Barr Kingsley Esiso and State Secretary, Engr Dan Ossai, as well as the Delta North Chairman of the party, Elder Moses Iduh and members of the Senatorial District’s Campaign Committee, for being physically present at the campaign grounds to canvass support for the candidates.

He applauded the LGA and ward executives of PDP in Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West and Ukwuani, Campaign Coordinators, Chief Fidelis Tilije, Barr Sam Ossasa and Elder Chike Ugwummadu; party leaders and elders, especially High Chief Godswill Obielum and Rear Admiral Mike Onah (rtd), women and youths for their individual and collective roles in the success of the ward to ward campaign.

The former DESOPADEC Commissioner and immediate past Executive Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development placed on record the immense contributions of serving and former Commissioners from Ndokwa land; all other political appointees, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West and Ukwuani Council Chairmen, Councilors and Supervisory Councilors.

Hon Ezechi assured the people of Ndokwa nation that the confidence reposed in him would not be betrayed if given the mandate to represent the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency in the National Assembly come 2023.
