DELTA NORTH TRADITIONAL RULERS SEEK WAYS OF STRENGTHEN PEACE, SECURITY IN THEIR DOMAINS

Traditional rulers from across the Delta North senatorial district, under the aegis of the Delta North Traditional Rulers Forum, at the weekend, converged on the palace of the Obi of Owa, Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor 11, at Owa-Oyibu, to discuss issues affecting their various communities and to proffer solutions.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting, Dr Efeizomor 11, who is also the Chairman of the Forum, said it had helped to strengthen the bond of unity among traditional rulers in Delta North, and had enabled them to work out strategies for moving communities in the Anioma nation  forward.

Giving insight on the deliberations, the Owa monarch said the Forum had stressed the importance of maintaining peace and security at the community level, promoting brotherliness amongst traditional rulers and shunning divisive tendencies, while also discussing extensively election matters.

The Royal Father called on citizens to be vigilant and conscious of their movement as the Yuletide approached, obey traffic laws to prevent road traffic crashes and endeavour to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, to be able to vote for candidates of their choice.

Dr Efeizomor 11 reiterated the support of the Delta North Traditional Rulers Forum for the State Governor and Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the 2023 election, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
