The support base of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate in Delta state, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has been strengthened across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state, with the Council Chairmen throwing their weight behind him.
Hon. (Pastor( Jude Chukwunwike of Aniocha South and his colleagues, under the aegis of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) congratulated Oborevwori shortly after the Supreme Court judgement that affirmed him as the authentic candidate.
Their unanimous congratulatory message reads: “Mr Speaker, your victory is our victory. With this overwhelming victory at the Supreme Court, you have succeeded in bringing joy to all PDP faithful in Delta and beyond.
“With your eventual emergence as our governorship candidate, we are confident that Deltans will file out behind you and vote massively for you as our next Governor. Congratulations, the peoples choice”.
Already, the Councils have started strengthening their structures and platforms for mobilizing the people ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Aniocha South LGA is leading the way having already galvanized party members for the task ahead, while a campaign organization has been set up with Rt. Hon. Joan Onyemaechi (Ada Anioma) as Director General.
Similar campaign organizations are expected to be set up in all the other local government areas.
