The Chairman of Aniocha South Local Governnent, Hon (Pastor) Jude Chukwunwike, had said professionals who have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers stand out when given a chance to showcase their capacity in the corridors of power.
Pastor Chukwunwike, who stayed this on Wednesday at the Council Secretariat Ogwashi-Uku when he received a delegation of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward to Ward group, added that sustainable societal growth and development could only be achieved through diligence.
He noted that heaven and earth respected people whose energies and values enhanced development of the society, pointing out that being outstanding required going the extra mile in achieving goals, even at the expense of one’s comfort.
According to the Council Chairman, “I have followed the activities of this group and one thing that is worthy of mention is that the convener is someone that has consistently worked with passion.
“When a person is dedicated, it gets to a point when heaven and earth recognize his efforts. Let me tell you that I, on behalf of the people of Aniocha South, appreciate you”.
Pastor Chukwunwike urged members of the group to remain focused on ensuring victory for all PDP candidates, in view of the benefits that would bring, stressing that they should ensure that the group did not go into extinction, as some similar pressure groups, which existed in the past, had become history.
Earlier, the convener of PDP Ward to Ward group, Comrade Destiny Monye, said the visit was to inform the Council Chairman about their activities which were fundamentally aimed at mobilizing and sensitizing people at the grassroots to support all PDP candidates for the 2023 elections to enable them to emerge victorious in the polls
