The General Overseer of the Divine Faith Evangelical Mission, Agbor, also known as Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Joseph Igbodo, recently extended his philanthropic gesture to widows in some communities in Ika North East and Ika South local government areas of the state where he gave over three thousand of them cause to smile.

Prophet Igbodo, who is also the proprietor of Job’s Orphanage and Saint Stephen’s Trust Widows’ Home, led his team of clergymen to Igbodo, Emuhu, Owa-Oyibu, Idumuesah, Umunede, among other communities, where he donated food items and toiletries to the widows.

He said the outreach programme, which had become a tradition of his Ministry and in fulfilment of a biblical injunction, was basically designed to support the widows, pray for them and receive their prayers in return, as a way to draw them close to God.

In their separate remarks, Pst Amechi Okafor, and Rev Sunday Ugbaye thanked Prophet Igbodo for always putting smiles on the faces of the widows in the society, noting that he was indeed practicing true religion handed down from God.

In their words, “Whatever you are seeing here today is from God. Like our father used to say, his dime is not in it, likewise us. We don’t even know who brought them. The essence of this is for you to enjoy what God has provided for you through spiritually inspired individuals and organisations.

They told the widows that the donation had no political strings attached, but to proclaim the name of God, urging them to devotedly serve God and experience His goodness and abundant grace that would lift them out of penury.
“The measure of your faith determines the magnitude of your blessing. Your prosperity lies in what you do in the house of God. Be committed to any assignment given to you. Rest assured that God is with you and can’t leave you stranded”, the clergymen said.

The programme featured prayers for the women, who in turn prayed for Prophet Igbodo and members of his team.
