Former Managing Director of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Bashorun Askia Ogieh, has asked the people of Ndokwa nation to count themselves lucky to have Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi as an aspirant for the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency seat.

Chief Ogieh, who is also aspiring to represent the Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, made the remark on Tuesday at Oleh when Nnamdi Ezechi led a delegation of Ndokwa youths to pay him a courtesy visit.

He said he could vouch for Hon. Ezechi because he worked with him as DESOPADEC Commissioner, describing him as a highly principled, focused and resourceful young man passionate about the well-being of his people.

The former DESOPADEC MD added that Ezechi had remained a grassroots politician, always found in the midst of his people, sharing in their pains, sadness and joy, just as he had encouraged many Ndokwa youths by way of empowerment within the limits of the resources at his disposal.

Chief Ogieh said the people of Ndokwa/Ukwuani would be proud of the House of Reps aspirant because he would, in his usual character, give them good representation and deliver the dividends of democracy to them if given the mandate to represent the Federal Constituency come 2023.

He prayed for Ezechi’s success in the May 20 primary election and advised him to maintain the good relationship he had built with party elders, leaders and stakeholders in Ndokwa nation.

Ezechi had earlier paid homage to his former boss, describing him as a thorough bred politician genuinely committed to service to humanity, assuring the people of Isoko that they would see the best of Askia Ogieh in the House of Representatives, if given the opportunity.

From Oleh, Nnamdi Ezechi and members of his entourage proceeded to Umusadege Ogbe community, in Ndokwa West, where they were hosted by a PDP leader in ward 1, Hon. Fidelis Oputa, popularly called Flenjo, who is also an Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters.

Flenjo thanked Ezechi for the visit and urged his ward 1 delegates and indeed other delegates across Ndokwa nation to support the aspirant to win the party primary election.
