A PDP governorship aspirant in Delta, Chief Abel Esievo, has said he will industrialize the state to create jobs for the teeming unemployed youths if given the opportunity to pilot the affairs of the state come 2023.
Esievo, a former Auditor – General (Local Govt) stated this when he consulted with former Vice – President, Atiku Abubakar, at the residence of former Governor James Ibori in Oghara.
He said his administration would set up an industry every year in each of the three senatorial districts, targeting 12 industries in four years, while ailing and moribund industries would be assisted to get back to business through collaborative effort.

While appreciating the importance of meaningfully engaging the youth, the governorship aspirant said the governnent under his watch would partner with the Federal Government to revive the seaports in Warri, Koko, Burutu and Sapele to make them functional and economically relevant to the state and the country.
Esievo said he would work out a robust value chain that would enhance the economic fortunes of farmers and graduates of the state government’s job creation programmes, explaining that the industries to be established would be encouraged to buy produce from farmers for processing to avoid wastages and loss of income.
The governorship hopeful thanked Atiku Abubakar for his faithfulness to PDP and for helping to strengthen the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
