All roads led to the ancient city of Kwale, headquarters of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, at the weekend for the marriage between Dr. Ngozi Grace and Prince Gavin Okili, a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Relations.

The union, which was contacted under native law and custom, took place at the family compound of the bride, No. 2, Vincent K. Orofuke Lane, Off Udeaka street, Kwale.

A reception was later organised for guests with the State Head of Service, Mr. Reginald Bayoko, as Chairman.

It was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life, including the Commissioners for Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye, Housing, Chief Festus Ochonogor; Project Monitoring and Audit, Chief Ovie Oghoore; and Primary Education, Hon. Chika Ossai.

Also present were Special Advisers to the Governor on Community and Rural Development, Hon. Emmanuel Okoro; Petroleum, Oil and Gas, Mr. Ernest Ogwezzy; Local Government Affairs, Hon. Kelly Penawou; the DG, Warri/Uvwie and Environs Development Agency, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay;  Executive Assistant to the Governor on Primary Healthcare, Dr. Alphonsus Ojo and on Youth Development, Honourable Nnamdi Ezechi.

Some Senior Special Assistants to the Governor present included Hon. Jahswill Asaba, Engr. Philip Ugbomah and Elder Chike Ugwunmadu, as well as a host of other political appointees and politicians at the state and local government levels.

The Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government, Hon. Juan Governor and some members of the Executive and Legislative arms of the Council also graced the occasion.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Ejiro Ogheneaga led some doctors and staff of the Ministry, where the bride works, to the event, which was also attended by the PS in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Austin Oghoroh.

The Okpai community, the home town of the groom, was not left out as the traditional ruler of the community and father of the groom, Igwe Goldring Ugboma, was there with a powerful delegation.

Community leaders, sons and daughters of Azagba, the home town of the bride, in Ndokwa East, came in their numbers to show solidarity with their daughter.

The apex body of the Ndokwa nation, Ndokwa Neku Union, led by the President, Gen. Mike Ndubuisi (rtd) as well as clan and community youth groups from across the Ndokwa nation showed strong presence at the marriage ceremony.
