The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one Akpoghene Idogo, 21, said to have been on the run after the alleged ritual killing of 50 – year old Mrs. Patience Komore.
One Onos Simon had earlier been arrested over the killing, while Akpoghene Idogo reportedly fled.
Akpoghene’s arrest followed a tip off based on which the DPO incharge of the Oleh Division, Paul Oboware, a Superintendent of Police, led a combined team of the police, vigilante and community leaders to Kwale.
A statement issued by the Acting Spokesperson of the Command, DSP Bright Edafe, says the victim was a pepper seller, adding that efforts to arrest the remaining suspect, who was said to have contracted and paid the killers N100,000, has been intensified.
