A governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief Abel Esievo, has said former Governor James Ibori is a quintessential leader whose administration positively touched the lives of many in the state.
Chief Esievo, in a congratulatory message to Ibori on the occasion of his 63rd birth anniversary, said the echoes of the Ibori administration were still making waves across the state, stressing that the foundation he laid had remained unshaken fourteen years after leaving office.
He noted that the former Governor was passionate about peace in the state, the Niger Delta region and the country, and worked hard to achieve and sustain it by building bridges of unity.
The former Auditor – General (Local Govt) said Ibori exemplified selflessness, patriotism and honour which endeared him to the people, pointing out that the Oghara born remained one of the most respected politicians in the country.
Chief Esievo prayed God to preserve the life of Ibori, grant him divine health, wisdom and strength to continue to serve humanity, as he still had a lot to offer to the people.
