A notorious kidnap kingpin, who abducted his own father and collected N4 million ransom, has been reportedly killed in Kogi State.
The kidnapper, whose name was not made public, was killed on Saturday in a gun duel with security operatives in Olamaboro Local Government of the state.
The Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Hon. Adejoh Friday Nicodemus, confirmed this while addressing journalists on Sunday.
He said a combined security operation in the local government also led to the arrest of another notorious criminal identified as Kizito Ocheme, alias Igbo, known for terrorizing the local government area.
Nichodemus stated that the efforts of Governor Yahaya Bello and his government to guarantee the safety of lives and properties of citizens was yielding good results as criminals had found Kogi a no-go area.
