DELTA ASSEMBLY SPEAKER COMMENDS CHIKA OSSAI FOR ABSOLUTE LOYALTY TO THE SYSTEM

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, on Thursday led some Principal Officers and a member of the House on a visit to one of the newly sworn – in Commissioners in the state, Hon. Chika Ossai, to rejoice with him on his successful inauguration by the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.

Oborevwori was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Ochor Chris Ochor; the Chief Whip, Hon (Princess) Pat Ajudua; the Deputy Chief Whip, Hon Solomon Ighrakpata and the member representing Ndokwa West, Hon Charles Emetulu.

The Speaker, at a reception organized for guests by the Commissioner, noted that he had been a loyal and dedicated party man, as well as a good and focused follower passionate about the success of government.

He said Chika Ossai’s reappointment was a reward for humility, loyalty to the system and hard work, stressing that his past tenures as Commissioner were largely successful.

Chika Ossai had thanked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for another opportunity given to him to serve, describing his reappointment as an act of God given the odds that stood in his way.

He said his reappointment was a call to greater service to the people and promised to respond diligently to that to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Governor.

The Commissioner stated that he had forgiven those who worked against his reappointment and urged them to join him in ensuring the delivery of the mandate of his office for the overall good of the state.

Chika Ossai pledged to remain a humble servant of the people and to continue to contribute to the attainment of the Stronger Delta vision of the Okowa administration.
